Shopping with the Girls – Latest ETSY Love

I have vaulted ceilings in my kitchen and I hate them.  These vaulted ceilings have left me with enormous empty spaces above my kitchen cabinets and, I admit, I don’t know what to do with this space.  I have scoured hundreds of interior design blogs, searching for inspiration.  Nothing.  (I swear, vaulted ceilings in kitchens and pot shelves are an Arizona thing. Ugh)

One of the ideas I’ve comtemplated is modern wall clocks.  Etsy has a bunch of these funky gems.  What do you think?

Taking “Timeout” To Blog Stalk and Shop {Plum Pretty Sugar}

I started following Plum Pretty Sugar about 5 months ago, after I stumbled upon this dreamy Kimono Robe ~ ~ ~

Don’t you just love the teal blue and bright pops of yellow in this fabric?

Now you see why our relationship was “Love at First Sight”. {Love at First Sight = Blog Stalking Crush}  Here’s a little bit of information about the author behind Plum Pretty Sugar ~~~~

loves: > efficiency + indulgence. > barefeet + heels. > everyone’s success. > bookstores + farmers market tuberose. > good design + the color of nature. > the ocean + the human body. > laughter that pours out and over. > eastern religion + the fine arts. > culture that isn’t my own.

Plum Pretty Sugar has been a journey. Dreamful, lesson-filled but sweet goodness nonetheless. It’s in the vibration of my heart and something I hope will soon be in yours.

Awake to dream…

Hey Betsy what you find on ETSY?

Lately some of us Bella Girls have been obsessing over rubber stamps. I feel slightly weird having this obsession due to the fact I do not participate in scrap booking, writing notes, making cards, decoupage, etc. etc. etc.

(all or any crafts in general)

That being said, one of my plans for 2010 is to start a stamp collection. I am not sure what I will do with them but….. I WANT THEM. I feel like they would really spice up my office. So my quest has begun. While on the road to obtaining these little ditties I came across an ETSY shop.
Stamp Marche - Sewing set
Wooden stamps in a can - Bird
Wooden stamps in a can - Mail
Wooden stamps in a can - Alphabets
Wooden boxed country Rubber Stamps
Wooden stamps in a can - Sewing
Wooden boxed coffee break Stamps
Stamp Marche - Russian doll set
New - Wooden stamps in a can - Stationery
New - Wooden stamps in a can - Angel
NEW - Duet Stamp Set - Delicious Doughnt
Stamps range from $6-$32

Order To My Office

School starts again in 6 days.

I feel completely unprepared, unmotivated, and unorganized. My home office/personal HELLoooo is a total disaster. (Pictures of the wreakage to be posted shortly) So this week during my free time I vow to bring order to my office! I know that if I start my semester off with a clean study space, marked calendars, memo boards, and book-filled shelves things will go brilliantly.

Anyways… let me get to the point. I have been researching organizational items. I have come up with a wish list.

1) I really want a giant chalk board. Schoolroom status.

2) A giant calendar. Preferably one that can stay on my wall and be reused month after month.

3) A cork/pin board. The only problem is they are all CHEESY. Cheese. Cheese.

Fiddling around on ETSY I came across some marvelous PUSH PINS. Check out these babies!

(If I could only find a non-cheesey pin board… and a chalk board.)

Latest ETSY Love ~ steponitart

This week The Bella Girls are taking a look at the front porch.  In honor of this lovely topic, I started my ETSY search with front door mats in mind.   Within a couple of minutes, I was lucky enough to stumble upon the ”StepOnItArt” etsy store. Here is a quick bio about this shop~~~

“Hello everyone glad you could stop by. I’m a self taught artist and have been painting for several years. My specialty was at one time painting murals and faux finishes. After years of climbing up and down ladders I’ve changed my focus to primarily floorcloths. I love the versatility and durability a floorcloth lends to a homes decor. It can be custom designed to fit your needs. Any shape and size is available and no limit to styles. If you are interested in having a floorcloth painted, please convo me.”

nouveaudesigns’s Profile

Bio
Hello! My name is Ashley and I am a freelance graphic designer living in Brooklyn, NY. Just a few years ago, I was set on becoming a journalist…and then I caught the design bug. Although I completed my journalism degree, art has taken over my life!During my last semester of college, I also took a bookbinding class and fell in love with the idea of combining the written word with hands-on craft. I could honestly spend all day making books and then filling them with stories. Unfortunately, my 10-month old daughter, London, doesn’t allow me enough time for such luxuries!

Latest ETSY Love

Now that October has finally arrived, I can justify pulling out the Halloween decorations.  This is what inspired me to look for Halloween goodies on Etsy today.  Within five minutes, I was looking up Trick-or-Treat bags and stumbled upon the following goodies on KinderHausBlanket’s Store.

If the Halloween bags don’t strike your fancy, how about a Candy Corn headband for your Little Princess~~~

KinderHausBlanket’s store is run by a Californian wife and mother who began making baby blankets several years ago. (The above bags are priced at $8 and the headband is priced at $7)

Latest ETSY Love – for la bathroom

Since The Bella Life is taking an in depth look at the Bathroom this week, I thought it would be appropriate to find something for la bathroom.  This Etsy “bathroom” search brought me to most amazing soap dishes on JustWork’sShop. Here is some beautiful information about this shop, which helps those who are deemed “unemployable” (i.e. homeless, physically disabled, mentally ill) find work experience and skill development.

“JustWork emerged from the life and ministry of Grandview Calvary Baptist Church in the Grandview-Woodlands neighbourhood of Vancouver, BC. Pastoral staff of the congregation encouraged the development of JustWork as a way to offer assistance and hope to those in the faith community and the neighbourhood who were struggling to find work. JustWork officially began in February 2004 with a four-pronged strategy to assist those on the margins of our church and neighbourhood–offering employment counseling, a job-match program, support for those with dreams of starting a small business, and social enterprise development for individuals facing major hurdles to the workforce.” (for more information click here)

Each Soap Dish Featured is Priced at $10.00

JustWork has dozens of beautiful pottery pieces, check them out.
