Link to 4, Four, Fore, For

Michael and I celebrated our 4th anniversary last week. Being that it was a weekend filled with numerous family events, we kept it relatively low-key. The best part of our anniversary was the gifts! Since we’ve been married we have never done gifts on our anniversary, so this year was especially fun.

Knowing that I love all things dainty and gold, Michael got me the pinky ring I’ve wanted for years and a new gold chain. The gold chain he got me is extra awesome because I recently lost a very special necklace of mine and have been in mourning for months. I feel like I am beginning to heal. Now if only I could replace the charm that went missing with it… hint hint

excuse the distracting charm

Michael received something that is both practical and special; his quilt!  Despite the quilt not being exactly what I wanted for my man, until the right one comes along it gets the job done. The quilt rarely leaves his side and I am not allowed to use it without his permission.

We both got what we love and I’m thrilled to have 4 years down.

Hopefully the next 4 years will be just as crazy, just as hard, and just as happy.

PS. My sweater is a Savers special and makes me feel like I’m wearing a cloud. Although most people comment about it being a “grandma” sweater, Michael seems to think I look AMAZING in it.

What. A. Man.

Link to Weekend Recap

This past weekend, Dallan and I went to a wedding for this beautiful couple – Kathy & John.

Sloan Photographers

The celebrations took place at this tranquil venue, nestled next to Camelback Mountain - Intercontinental Montelucia

Since the dress code was black tie, Dallan and I dressed up in our prom best (minus the corsages of course).

Why do I look so much larger than Dallan?

After we stuffed ourselves silly (Dallan is still talking about the peeking duck that was served) – we Photo boothed!

.
Now you’re probably thinking “where was Dallan during all this?” or “does Dallan know she’s in a photo booth alone with two men?”  I know we’ve had our differences about the proper PB&J making techniques.

.
Don’t fret.
.
  1. Dallan and I took some photos together.  Unfortunately, I don’t have them with me at the moment. (Another post?)
  2. Yes, Dallan knew I was in the photo booth alone with two men.  He knows that men who wear boas really aren’t my type – nor I theirs.

This was by far one of the best weddings I’ve ever been too.  So, as soon as Kathy gets back from her honeymoon, I will be getting professional photos of the event.  You better believe I’ll be blogging about it.

The Elizabeth Anne Designs (EAD) wedding blog could be summed up with one word… CLASSY. When I found out my own wedding was going to be featured on the blog my jaw dropped to the floor and my eyes popped out of their sockets- Ah-ooogaaaa!! I had finally reached blogger nirvana. I still blush when I think about it. I’d like to thank, first and foremost {wipes tear}, the master in disguise, Debs. I couldn’t have done ANY of it without you! But also my sis— you get the point. (Okay, so maybe my wedding was featured because of Sloan Photographers. Like we said earlier, talented.)
