Looking for something to do this weekend? Well, look no further.

Being the lovely person that I am…I have taken the liberty of giving you 5 ideas to make your weekend not only enjoyable BUT fulfilling.

1.) For all of you wanting to kick back, relax, and be entertained may I recommend you go and see Inception. This is a movie worth seeing in  theaters. Save a few bucks going to a matinee or buying your tickets through Costco.

{I saw this movie last night and seriously almost had to walk out of the theatre my anxiety was so bad. I literally couldn’t sit still it was so intense. Maybe it isn’t so relaxing… }

2.) Looking for a craft? Let me direct you to Martha Stewart’s CRAFT OF THE DAY. Today, July 24th is all about making your very own Shaded String Lights. For the step by step process feel free to click HERE.

(sorry for the tiny picture. Martha being a little timid with the size)

3.) Want to be inspired? Want some eye candy? Want to get in touch with history? Then stop by your local antique store and let yourself be taken back in time. This is a great was to relax and shop without pressure. Walk into the store with your focus solely on looking at all the unique treasures.

4.)  If you want to stuff your face with some good food  then go to Tammie Coe Bakery in downtown Phoenix. Yummy, Yum, Yummerson. (Sorry to all you non- desert dwellers.)

5.) Want to get intouch with Mother Nature? Consider yourself the luckiest of all because I have three awesome ideas…

(1) Go on a hike!

2.)  Go to www.herbstoponline.com and order some organic essential oils, herbs, and natural skincare products etc. I recommend you order their peppermint oil (good for headaches and nausea + it smells divine) and the natural skin TONERS.

Note to Reader: If you become their fan on *** FACEBOOK *** you will get 15% off your order.

(3) If you live in Arizona…. get on your knees and start PRAYING FOR RAIN!!! Mother Earth stop being such a tease. Can the stormy clouds creeping overhead please unleash some mean thunder and rain?

Well hope I gave you at least ONE idea to make your weekend a good one!

Link to Go Ms. Foster

Stumbled upon MyShabbyStreamsideStudio.blogspot.com awhile back and forgot about it until I read a New York Times article today. Anyways… now that I have remembered this story/blog please enjoy and get “cottage envy”. It’s my personal belief that ever girl/woman needs one of these for herself.

Sandra Foster turned a Catskills hunting cabin into a Victorian cottage/hideaway.  Using vintage columns, flooring and wavy glass windows, and her own carpentry skills Sandra Foster was able to make a lifelong dream a reality. Before the renovation, the cabin was originally a 9-by-10-foot box, with a porch roof supported by white willow tree trunks. The shabby-chic retreat doesn’t  have a bathroom or a kitchen, but it is a dream of Victoriana!

Link to “Colorful” Outdoor Decor

Why be afraid of a little color when it comes to outdoor decor?

Since there’s already color everywhere you look in the great outdoors why not add a  little more to the mix. You can do just about anything-in fact you don’t even need to worry about whether or not the colors are perfect or if you have too many. Look at some of the fun things that I found and that I’m considering for my own yard.

 Anthropologie’s Knotted Melati Hanging Chair

What a great chair for doing a little porch swinging. I could see all the grandkids climbing into this together with me after we’ve gone for a swim.

Pottery Barn’s Chloe Pillow

I love the colorful pillows. Like I’ve said repeatedly, for those of you afraid to take a big plunge into color try adding some bold and colorful pillows to your outdoor decor.

Pottery Barn’s Mosaic Hundi Lantern

I love mosaic patterns. And these lights are the perfect touch of color for your porch or gazebo lighting.

Anthropologie’s Tranquil Paradise Hammock

One of my favorite summertime activities is to lay in a swing like this-it’s the ultimate in relaxation. And this colorful hammock  is beautiful enough to hang in your house if you decide it’s too pretty to go outside.

Anthropologie’s Wham Bam Coasters

How cute are these beaded coasters? I’m trying to think of more than one way to use these colorful accessories-earrings maybe?

Wall fountains are another way to add some color to your backyard walls. I don’t think that I’d ever get tired of looking at this fountain because it’s so interesting.

Dishes that don’t break and are colorful too. I love these indestructible plates with so different colors and patterns. Just think about all the ways you could set your table by using different linens, glasses and centerpieces.

Happy Coloring!
