“How to Tell What the Shape of Your Lipstick Means”
Here’s something fun and light-hearted-which I need this week desperately! I’m not sure if this means you should plan on “shaping” your own lips to fit the following shapes OR if you should be aware of the shapes of other ”Glam Girls” lips so that you understand them a little better.
FLAT TOP
Your’re dependable and serious. You care what people think of you.

CONCAVE TOP
This bowl-shape means you’re friendly, exciting, and love a date.
SLANTED TOP
If the end is close to its original shape, you probably stick to the rules and don’t like too much attention.
ROUNDED TOP
You’re a lovable, friendly person who enjoys being busy.
POINTED TOP
You’re kind and easygoing and can be relied on in a crisis.
I think that if you could combine all the different lips shapes that this is what you’d end up with…
THE “PERFECT PAIR” OF LIPS
Happy Glam Lips!

This week’s “Glamour Girl” post is a MUST READ for every glamour girl: HOW TO LOOK YOUR BEST IS A PHOTOGRAPH!
So here’s what you need to do to make the most of your time in front of a camera…
Brush your hair quickly in case it’s sticking up and check that you don’t have anything stuck in your teeth.
Don’t face the camera head-on. Turn your body slightly to one side-but keep you head facing forward for a more natural pose.
Don’t look directly into the lens-instead look slightly to the side. This lessens the chance of having red eye.
Press your tongue to the roof of your mouth, lift your chin slightly as though you are stretching to look over a high garden fence and SMILE. (Hopefully this tip will help to avoid any unflattering shadows under your chin.)
(Looks like Wonder Girl forgot to “look over the garden fence”.)
If your photographer is using a flash, widen your eyes a little just before the flash so that you are not caught with your eyes closed.
(Great example of “open eyes”.)
Try not to stand with your back to the light-as it will make you appear as a silhouette. (This could be frightening!)
(The ultimate “silhouette” shot.)
People always look good in a photograph when they are laughing. Try to think of something funny just before the shot so you may be caught at your best possible moment.
And the final fabulous photo idea-if you are having one of those “I feel fat” days-try this poise. You’ll instantly look thinner.
Happy Posing!

When I was a young pre-teen I wanted my very own dressing table or vanity. I envied all my friend who had one.

So for those of you-both young and old who still don’t have their very own vanity- here’s what it takes to put together a dressing table according to “The Girls’ Book of Glamour”.
Create your own personal oasis of calm in your bedroom (or bathroom) by organzing all of your beauty product. Find a table, shelf or windowsill for your items. Think of ways that you can make these items look nice. How about a special tray that you’ve covered with nice fabric? Whatever you choose to do, the same rules apply:

-
Keep your favorite items on “show”-everything else should be put away in pretty boxes, containers, decorated bins or cases.
-
A cutlery tray makes it easy to organize all of your supplies. Store it away and out of sight like in a drawer or under your bed.
-
Try to get a good size mirror-trying to use a compact mirror makes it impossible to look your best.
-
Make sure your dressing table is close to a good light source so that you can see what you are doing.
-
Decorate your table with a few pretty ornaments or accessories like shells, pretty bottle, flowers in a vase, etc.
Happy Creating!

Every Glamorous Goddess needs to know how to do the “Air Kiss” (the pretense of kissing) if they want to make a cool impression when they bump into their friends. So it’s time to perfect the celebrity-style air-kiss.
Here’s how you do it…
Start by making sure that you look delighted to see your friend.
Smile and widen your eyes and tell her how lovely she looks.
Call your friend “Darling,” Honey,” and “Sweetheart.”
(Unless you’re getting ready to air-kiss your own Mother.)
Finally SWOOP toward her and almost touch her left cheek with yours and then her right cheek.
Be sure to say “Mwah” loudly each time.
Happy Air-Kissing!
