Link to Deck the Heels…

… with boughs and holly fa-la-la-la-la! I’ll stop my cheesy play on words there.

Here is some high heel inspiration.

Link to Wish List

I have been compiling a “wish list”. I think I’ve been subconsciously saving images to my computer the past few weeks because Christmas is approaching. Although none of these items will be acquired in my near future, I thought I’d share them anyway.

1. Anne Taylor Loft Jacket

I saw this jacket online a few weeks ago and instantly wanted one. Sadly, I didn’t act fast enough and now its SOLD OUT.

2. MAC Tartan Tale: Sweep Me Off MY Feet Sweep & Define Brush Collection

Even though I’m horrible at makeup, I can’t help but want this brush set by MAC. Maybe it’s my love of Scot history and tartans.

3. West Elm Pillows

Burlap, linen, and gold.

4. Trinket Box

These Anthropologie trinket boxes are my cup of tea. Im not sure how jewelry would fair in these boxes, but I’m positive I could use them for something.

5. Felted Pet Portrait

I know this is bizarre, but I REALLY want one done of Piper.  I’m officially a crazy dog owner!

6. Unique Blankets & Throws

I’ve mentioned that one of my dreams is to have linen closets full of unique blankets. I constantly research blankets and recently stumbled upon these prints.

The first one is found HERE and the second HERE

7. Soft Jute Baskets

I want these West Elm baskets.

8. The Black Apple Onionhead Print

I really want to find an original “Onion” painting by Emily Martin for Michael. In the meantime I may have to settle for a print… boo!

Hopefully some of my ‘wish’ items sparked an idea for you.

Christmas gifts can be such a BEAR!

Link to Style Alert! Blazer Over Dress

I always try to sell this look to people, but they always go back to that solid wrap dress….I’m yawning just talking about it (nothing wrong with the wrap, other than everyone has it and I am bored of it). For a day look, pair a blazer with your printed dress from the summer. Or, pair a tuxedo style jacket with an evening gown for the night time. Either way, IT ROCKS. This look will stick around through spring.

Warning: A lot of these examples use very short dresses. You do not have to use one that is so revealing. Also, this style works for all ages– just be aware of how to make it look age appropriate.
