Did I mention…
Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day products provide an effective alternative for people who are concerned with the environmental effects of conventional cleaning products. Our formulas combine natural essential oils with leading-edge cleaning know-how to provide an enjoyable, safe experience for our customers.

• All of their liquid products are biodegradable
• Some of their powder products contain minerals that do not biodegrade, but do break down into non-harmful decomposition products and return to the earth as they left it.
• Their products do not contain ammonia, chlorine, glycol solvents, parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, artificial colorants, phosphates or petroleum distillates.
• Packaging is recyclable and we use 25% post consumer plastic in our bottles.
• Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day products are not anti-bacterial and that is by design. We believe in the homes of consumers, good soap and water are all that needed to keep things clean. This does not hold true in health care or food service environments, but for the average household the benefits of anti-bacterial products do not outweigh the risks. Our products are very effective cleaners and offer comparable and in some cases better soil and dirt removal, but do not offer the anti-bacterial benefits of products containing chlorine bleach. Products containing chlorine bleach are harder on the environment when they are disposed and also pose a risk to consumers in the fumes that they could potentially form. There is a growing body of evidence that points to the formation of “super organisms” that are resistant to anti-bacterial products because the world is using too many of these types of products. Lastly, if one chooses to use an anti-bacterial product they must pay close attention to the usage directions as most people spray and wipe, rather than spray and allow the product to work 2 – 3 minutes and then wipe up. Contact time is very important in these types of products.
• They manufacture according to exacting personal care standards in a cosmetic-grade cGMP facility.
- Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day products are safe to use in the presence of children, pets, and expectant women. There are no solvents, no petroleum distillates, no bleach, no phosphates and no ingredients that could cause harsh fumes.
These next few months are going to be dangerous for my bank account. For some reason I have this overwhelming need to always buy soap, bubble bath, lipgloss, lotion, and cleaning sprays that have amazing fragrances. Bath & Body Works has officially stocked the shelves with holiday scents. I’m a sucker for holiday scents. Here are a few things I have purchased at BBW so far this season.
I would just like to add that I had coupons and also bought sale items.
My favorite scent is Winter Candy Apple.
I couldn’t walk away from this super-plush blanket. I have two goals in life, 1.) to have a library in my house and 2.) have a collection of blankets. I want blankets of every size, shape, color, and texture. This was a must-have item because I’m trying to reach a goal….I love mentha anything! I may not be very good at makeup however I always appreciate a nice lipgloss.
Fragrance&Shea infused socks. I haven’t bought a holiday pair yet but I plan on getting some when my current Peppermint Socks go unscented. I have 9 washes left!
Do you love holiday scents?
Please tell me I’m not alone.

I picked up some rugs for my bathroom. What’s interesting about these rugs is that they’re not at all what I was picturing for my bathroom. What can I say? I like what I like. They have been in my bathroom for a couple days now and I’m not sure it’s working.
The only thing going in favor of these rugs is the fact my bathroom is hodgey (not a real word). As of now, our bathroom is filled with random jars, mirrors, bubble bath and towels. My hodgey bathroom doesn’t make the rugs seem so out of place.
[ INSERT: All the following pictures are at a strange angle because I can't get the lighting right in the bathroom. Straight on it looks completely dark. I had to squat in my tub to even get the shot of the chandelier right... talk about electronically challenged.]
Background information:
Light blue verging on white wall paint
Copper, frilly chandelier
Standard Arizona Tile
Maple Cabinets
Chrome fixtures
Coral wastebasket
Maybe going ‘hodgey’ is the best thing for my bathroom because of the cabinent color and tile… Thoughts?
Too frilly for my Lily Rugs?
This wastebasket stays! It’s been with me for many years and we’ve bonded.
The elements together. (Ignore the blue bottle, little mirror, and white crate)
Now for all of you NOT AFRAID to comment, please give me your opinion. Keep it hodgey or stick to my original plans? Original plans include white rugs, white curtains, white accessories.

My decor tip today is very simple. If you want to add a little “punch” to your decor-add a decorative wastebasket-especially in rooms like your home office, the bedrooms and bathrooms.
Instead of using the most popular style of wastebasket found at the Bella Fine’ offices…
May I suggest the following?
Ballard Designs’ Quilted Bee Wastebasket is crafted of recycled metal and hand painted using a meticulous, 18-step French tole process.
A chic and modern wastebasket decoupaged in Kelly Wearstler’s Imperial Trellis. Like I mentioned a couple of weeks ago geometric patterns are so popular right now. This is one way to incorporate the look without spending a lot of money.
This embossed croc nail headed waste paper basket from Dransfield and Ross is perfect for a home office.
My personal favorite is this Mirrored wastebasket and tissue holder set. I love the look of antiqued mirror.
For a more modern look and feel this Black and White Dot Modern style wastebasket will certainly be a fun accessory to add to your decor.

This elegant Morrocan inspired wastebasket is perfect for a richly decorated room with silks and a middle eastern flair.
I love the colors and style of this Hot Pink Damask decoupaged wastebasket! How cute for a little girls room.
How about this Rooster wastebasket for your kitchen desk or laundry room? That is…if you’re a Rooster lover.
Think outside the wastebasket box and use a large clay pot. This white pot from Ben Wolff Pottery has scalloped edges which makes it perfect for a decorative wastebasket.
Like I always say…it’s the little things you use to decorate that make the room’s decor “over the top”.
Happy Decorating!
