Green Cleaning – Tea Tree Oil

Are you looking for a green room deodorizer? How about a Tea Tree Oil Solution?

BASIC TEA TREE OIL SOLUTION:

Put 2 teaspoons of tea tree oil into a spray bottle containing 1 pint (or about 2.5 cups) of water Spray the formula into the air to deodorize a room. (Green Cleaning)

Green Cleaning – All Purpose Window Wash

Solution from Green Cleaning

ALL-PURPOSE WINDOW WASH

3 Tablespoons white distilled vinegar

1/2 teaspoon liquid soap or detergent

2 1/2 cups water

Combine the ingredients in a spray bottle, and shake to blend. Spray it on, and then remove with a squeegee or paper towel.

The shelf life of this mix is indefinite, but make sure you keep it in a labeled bottle.

Green Cleaning – Salt

Does your armpit perspiration leave your white shirts with yellow stains? TRY SALT!

REFRESHING WHITES:

“Restore yellowed cottons or linens to their original white by boiling the items for one hour in a salt-and-baking soda solution. Perspiration stains may be removed by adding 4 Tablespoons of salt [and baking soda] to 4 cups (1 liter) of hot water. If you can’t soak the item, sponge the fabric with the solution until the stains disappear.” (Green Cleaning)
