Want to know what’s going to be “IN” for the next year or so in home decor?

I  have a great resource that I refer to when I want to know what trends are staying current as well as what’s  up and coming. Michelle Lamb, Editorial Director for The Trend Curve ™, was recently in Frankfurt for the Tendence fair where she saw what all the vendors were presenting. From this market she share what she sees as the trends for 2011. Today I share with you what’s “IN” for color.

COLOR

-  Purple reigned supreme

-  Best partner: Gray

-  Companies were introducing new Blues

-  Greens looked good for Spring, but not Lime like before

-  Neutrals grew, getting the market’s attention as they did so

The problem I face  every year is that I love all the new color trends… Just wish I could redecorate my house whenever this happens. How about you?

Happy Decorating!

I’ve always had a hard time with purple. It’s my least favorite color. But recently I felt brave and I painted a room lavender…i adore it!
