Here it is…… la KITCHEN.
Do you see the vast amount of empty space above my kitchen cabinets? {Ugh} There are several things I’ve considered doing with this area:
- Mirrors
- Plates
- Modern Clock
- Collection of Tea Pots
- Artwork
The problem is, since this area is so high up, it needs larger items. Plates and tea pots may all get lost up there. Maybe I should do monocromatic artwork and a modern clock? I don’t know…
For now, I’ll stick to decorating the rest of the house.

Have you considered wallpaper? I don’t have your huge vaulted ceiling, but I do have a bit of space between my cupboards and ceilings. I just got through with wallpapering it and I’ve been really happy with the look of it!
I love your kitchen. You for sure need something big. Art work would look good. I think wallpaper would be awesome. Landry should take pictures and show them to us. I’d love to see that.
I know, I love the wallpaper idea. The best part – it probably wouldn’t be as expensive as artwork.
I love the wall paper idea. You should do it above your countertops and along the one wall where your table is. Love that idea
PS I love that your oil diffuser is on in the pic.
I was hoping someone would notice the oil diffuser. {I’m so healthy} Bonus points for you!
Okay, I know this is an old post, so I am wondering what did you do? I think large bright colored pottery or colored glass vases would look awesome.
Hi Tara-
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
Unfortunately, I haven’t done anything with that daunting space yet. I keep putting it off (working on our guest room/office instead). Curse vaulted ceilings!
I love your idea of colored glass vases. Maybe I should do a few vases that are 3-4 feet in height and mix in some medium and smaller vases as well. I also thought about doing wall paper, but now I don’t know. Maybe I should do a post on this again….
Thanks again,

repost again!
I am still liking the wallpaper idea but maybe we can brainstorm/storyboard mulitple ideas. Come over and we will photoshop the begeez out of your kitchen.
