Coming home from work last Thursday, I was greeted with the most beautiful surprise.

Mr. Onion, on his day off, decided to frame all the windows in my house. I have always talked about doing it, but had no desire to pay for the supplies. Luckily, a friend of ours (TOM)  had some extra crown-molding and was kind enough to let my husband take it.  Unfortunately, after seeing how good it looks Tom has started requesting payment! I just laugh and pretend he is really funny….

AFTER

Michael and Piper enjoying their labors.

(btw my husband has informed me that this sweet service is for Valentines, my Birthday and our next Anniversary)

Well there you have it. Didn’t he do a fabulous job, and doesn’t it add a little more pop? Also, please excuse my poor photography skills. I am horrible with lighting and, unfortunately, it doesn’t do my windows justice!

One more thing… Mr. Onion (who happens to be really into all things artistic) created a little something with a magazine rack I bought at Goodwill. I found his creation a couple days after the window. Obviously someone’s creative juices are flowing!

Wow – the trim makes a big difference! And a husband who takes on creative/diy projects voluntarily – wow!
