A decision has been made-Thanksgiving Dinner for the Bella Girls will be at my house this year. So since I’ve already got the ”basic” table decor ready-the perfect size table (I’m adding a leaf or 2), a decor theme (Thanksgiving) and the perfect linens (Butterscotch).-it’s time to move on to the tableware.
If I could afford to have dishes for each and every holiday these are some of the dishes that I would have in my collection to use for our special Thanksgiving dinner:
Crete Scroll by Wonki Ware…I love the look, color and texture of these great dishes. They are from South Africa and have a story. Check it out here.
Pottery Barn always has the best dishes and I love the brocade pattern design as well as the color. (This pattern is from their 2008 catalog.) Wouldn’t food taste better when eaten off a plate like this? And how cute is that place card. I even have tags like these!
(You can even pair this pattern with white dishes.)
Another idea: Square plates-and I LOVE how they look when paired with a square bowl. These would be fun to have for our Thanksgiving dinner. I don’t know what it is about this shape but food just looks better on a square plate. And since they are white they are so versatile and can be paired with combination of colors.
Another look that I like is combining several different styles of plates. I love the eclectic look of using a variety of pattern, color and style.
Here’s a great Thanksgiving table from Country Living using this idea.
And finally for those who are very “traditional” when it comes to Thanksgiving tableware. How about a plate that’s painted with a scene depicting the season. And how cute is the dried corn cob that adorns the napkin?
So what tableware will my table wear this Thanksgiving holiday?
Solitaire by Lenox-it’s been in the family for 30 years and we’ve probably eaten off it a dozen times. So we’re it getting out and adding our own special Bella Life ”Thanksgiving” touches. Check back with us to see what we do.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Debs

Nice one! If I could write like this I would be well happpy. The more I see articles of such quality as this (which is rare), the more I think there could be a future for the Web. Keep it up, as it were.
