Latest ETSY Love – Fairyfolk

While playing around on Etsy yesterday, I found an enchanting etsy store (Fairyfolk) that specializes in needle felting.  When my eyes fell upon their needle felted acorns, I immediately thought it would be so cute to adorn a thanksgiving tree in these ornaments.  Maybe next year?

Here is some information about Fairyfolk’s shop and shop owner:

I grew up in South Africa… a lovely, natural childhood surrounded by animals and wilderness. I have lived in many different countries, Ireland, England, New Zealand and now finally America where we have settled at last. I have a loving Kiwi husband and two gorgeous children. Crafting is how I reconnect with myself. It is the language of my soul and spoken often. I came to needle felting only recently and have fallen in love with all of it… the sound of the needle in the wool, the smell of the wool, the feeling of my creation in my hands. I am so grateful for the wide range and color of the wool I can work with… it makes anything possible.

I am a proud member of the Natural Kids Etsy Team, EtsyFAST and the Etsy Bloggers. Here you will find natural, handmade, needle felted toys and colorful felted acorns. Waldorf Inspired, all natural, eco-friendly, for imaginative and creative play.I am inspired by the Waldorf philosophy of encouraging imaginative play through tactile toys made of natural materials. My needle felting technique delivers a firm, compacted form that is sturdy and very well suited for all types of play.

My felted acorns come in many wonderful colors. My children and I have collected the all-natural acorn caps from the oak trees around us. I needle felt and wet felt the colorful acorns from 100% wool. They are magical treasures from Mother Nature herself and bring the enchantment of the outdoors into your home. They make charming additions to your wedding, baby shower, engagement, fall, spring entertaining. Give them away to your guests as favors, use them as place cards or lovely centerpieces… your imagination is the limit!
