I love organizing!

So when I came across some fun ideas for organizing your personal office space I had to share some of my favorites.

This office shows some great ways to organize your office space: wire baskets that you can see in to easily, cubbies that help you sort your supplies and spools of ribbon hung on a dowel rod. My organizing mantra has always been to “have a place for every thing so every thing can be put back into it’s place”. It saves you so much time!

Storage boxes don’t have to be boring. They come in all colors, shapes and sizes and can become a part of your office decor-so don’t hide them inside a cabinet. Let them be out in the open. Also, how about taking an old headboard and attaching magnetic sheeting so that you can use it as a backdrop to your desk. It’s a great way to organize your important papers.

Every office-in my opinion-needs an area for putting together gifts. Take a tiered wire basket and use it to organize the ribbons, bows and tags. A lunch pail can be hung from a peg to “hide” scissors and tape. A wall shelf with cubbies can store small scrapes of wrapping paper.

Clear jars are another great way to organize items in your office. These jars, used to organize art supplies, have great nickel brushed lids which adds and element of style-especially when paired with the metallic “e”.

Would you ever use this idea? Forks attached to the wall to hold business cards and important pieces of information. I’m going to try to incorporate this some way in my own house-maybe the desk in the kitchen?

Use an inexpensive cupcake pan to organize small items that have a tendency to get lost in drawers.  Be creative and look for some that are vintage. (I’ve actually used this idea for organizing my jewelry-it works great for earrings.)

Have a light on your desk that you can use magnets on. It’s a great way to keep the little pieces of paper  from getting lost. Another idea-place card holders for holding business cards.

Want to keep your keys and glasses from getting lost?  Use decorative hooks and drawer pulls or keeping these items organized on the wall near your desk.

Magnetic boards can be covered with fabric -or even posters-to give them the feeling of being artwork in your office. I loved how they’ve grouped the magnetic boards with a framed photo. Leaning then against the wall makes for a more casual look.

A finally, here’s a couple of other ideas that have a vintage feel. Old metal bread tins for organizing your offices supplies and tin tags attached with ribbon. How fun is this?

So Bella Blog readers-if you have any ideas of your own-we’d love to hear (or see) what you’ve done to organize your office space.

Happy Organizing!
